What a slog. You'd think marshalls couldve rolled the moor for runners. It's just not cricket. Was the usual high STD of organisation and almost got the phone no. Off one of the tealadies. Amazin time for logue n co considerin condition under foot. I was less than 2 min off leaders on return to c hill but the moor finished me. 67% of top 3 were Irish ha ha

It was ironic humour - of course I was the moron who was not paying attention. It was that last long run in towards the end after the second trig. I must have been looking down and missed the small trod to the right thats all - I had to wade through 2 foot high tussocks and deep water for 200 yards to get back on course

Yes especailly thanks to Kiddi Tom and Tubmeister Manhar for the abuse they doled out at Cock Hill

Also was it me or was the man previously known as Inov8 insider marshalling?

Good to see so many of you out today in good conditions (bearing in mind it's February) for the race & good to hear everybody got back home. Just 1 or 2 observations - why can't a micra driver stop for 10 seconds to let a runner cross the road ? Would understand some big shot in a flash car but c'mon a Micra ?!!! Should Ipods & such like be deemed kit (definitely) not to be carried during a race ?

And they could have cleaned the grease off the slabs on the Pennine Way and all

Phew! Finally located forum password and can finally log in and say thank you to everyone who turned out and ran, more thanks to prize donors, huge thanks to all those who helped out, and even bigger thanks to those who saved my skin when 1) the start looked like it might not get flagged and 2) the prize list became more complicated than brain surgery.

I'm knackered and my legs hurt and I didn't even have to leave the cricket ground (though I did brave the bog between CP 5 and 6 yesterday - anyone go in deeper than me (knee deep)?!). All due respect to everyone that took part.

Horn broke at start to comedy effect, and at end was just about to send out search parties for missing runner when we found him in the shower :-) otherwise I'm relieved to say that things were pretty uneventful. See you all again next year, and don't forget the Half Trog in November if you want to build up to it in bite size chunks!

I have a stack of lost property. PM me if you know you've lost something, otherwise I'll post up a list in the morning when I've managed to wash the mud off all the shoes so I can write accurate descriptions!

Really enjoyed today. Couldn't race because of injury, so I bimbled up and down between Cock Hill and Brown Knoll for 4 hours saying, 'Well done', to all the passing nutters. Some, impressively, were capable of raising a smile or a grimace. At least I now know the little trods I failed to find in last year's clag.

    Well done to all.
