Not sure I'd call that a good kicking, I only caught you at Shackleton Knoll and then took until Cock Hill to properly pull away from you (probably 'cos you wouldn't stop nattering).

You did well to get in at 3h36m, especially if you went walkabout. I had a couple of falls over to Sheepstones but at least i found it this year!

An excellent race overall, one i had to do again after last year's inaugural DNF. Faultless marshalling all the way round. A special mention must go to the ladies at the cricket club for the soup and a superb array of cakes!

through that sort of bog, 20 miles is too long for me - call me soft but it just becomes an exercise in pain for the last four miles, I stop enjoying it. Me and bog just don't get on.

still, delighted to come in under the four-hour mark, and it ws brilliantly organised, and great to see Hursty and soz to Deby Tup for being too knackered to spot him at first as he came in with stef (I think?)
You must have been just in front of me at the end I think as I was also just under four hours. I was with a group that didn't get the right line to 13 and finished up bumbling through the tussocks near the ventilation shaft. Still, I really enjoyed the last third of the race but perhaps I should have put in more effort earlier on!

Does anyone know the climbing on this please? I know its billed as 4000ft. Is that accurate?

I got 4,700 on my Garmin but I'd say that's overstated.
The distance reading I got - 21.16 miles - probably isn't far out.

21.4 miles, 3,800ft using Tracklogs. How much did you manage today?

Thanks to organisers and marshals alike for a great race yesterday even if I was a little slow and got a touch of cramp which I've never had before in over 20 years of running (what was going on there? Do northern moors really sap the strength more than the sandy plains of equitorial Africa where I usually run?)

I got 4,691ft climb on my Garmin, but generally I don't find Garmin totally reliable for elevation (if it is my house sinks about 60ft every time I go for a run!) Distance 21.26 miles

10ml / c4000ft at a bit better than BG pace. Both felt fine, so pleased

yeah there was a group of about three who went west of south, and we went east of south which I think was the easier running, but you caught us up. Legs were cramping badly by then. Lost my usual six or so places in the closing 2-3 miles.

I was in a group of four including someone from K&C and we went east of south then through the tussocks to the ventilation shaft before heading up the path straight up to 13. Did I pass you? I was in a Pennine vest.

yeah you're right, other way round

and yes you did - on the final descent to the stream / road

then I caught you back up on the pull up the steep bank and asked if we had any more than 10 mins left. Bowland vest.
