Made the mistake of having a hotdog AND a jam doughnut at the lunchtime checkpoint and had to walk for about 2 miles while they went down!

Congratulations on your time - and your strong constitution! All those miles after a marathon! And your digestion is even sturdier than your legs - a great asset for running ultras, I believe.

Made my laugh when i was offered it, i thought no thanks i'm an athlete, then in a split second decided i wasn't and downed it, then felt like one for 10 mins till the effect wore off!

Emma, I'm going to assume it's you that me, Louise and John the blistered geordie were with for a good part of the way round. Didn't get to see you after the finish, but I certainly found it easier going with someone to chat to at times so cheers for that! Under the eight hour mark next year, eh?
