Oh I've got a map case, I was just making sure it didn't have to be an os map or similar.

    Thanks.

I'm afraid I'm going to be a non starter - have been suffering with lower back problems all week culminating in a 1st attempt to run this week lasting all of 3 mins. Was looking forward to it after missing out these last few years........hey ho

again just to clarify, as long as you can safely navigate around the Edale Skyline with it in all weather(road maps will not do!) and you could give me a full grid ref off it with your location then it will pass kit check

Kitcheck will be outside to allow some space indoors, I'll try and have the Ale nearby if you want to pick it up Pre race.

It gets quite hectic so don't be late.

Yes, sorry I'm not being very clear. I've printed off a section of OS map which I'll be putting in the map case! So it'll be fine.

    Hi everyone

I've finally mangaged to get some Race Maps printed off. A3 on waterproof pretex paper. I will be there (near registration) an hour or two before the race with a good stock. £4.

There will be a kit check before the start. We will require:
•Full waterproof body cover i.e. cagoule with hood and overtrousers
    •Hat
    •Gloves
    •Map of the route
    •Compass
    •Whistle
    •Mobile phone
    •Emergency food

From DPFR website. RO may relax parts of that on the day, but you need it with you as usual.
Will a buff be Ok as a hat?

Having made use of one of Neil's maps I would strongly recommend them. Bargain. Very clear and comprehensive, and I still laugh whenever I read the 'Energy and balls' comment on the Skyline map!
