    Headline, Peak District
Light winds; extensive low cloud will gradually break from north.

    How Windy?
Direction likely to vary 10mph or less.

    Effect Of Wind?
    Negligible

    How Wet?
    Rain not expected

    Cloud on the hills?
    Mostly or all clearing

Extensive low cloud, base in places lower than 300m, likely after dawn. This will gradually lift and clear most areas through the morning. But may linger in the Peak District into, or possibly throughout the afternoon, although base will very likely lift to 450m or above.

    Chance of cloud free Summits?
20%, rising to 30% Peak District in afternoon

    Sunshine and air clarity?
The sun will come through intermittently in Yorkshire, and perhaps later in the Peak District. Generally hazy, and visibility widely poor in low cloud.

    Temperature (at 600m)
    3 rising to 5 or 6C.

    And in the valleys
Will rise to 8 or 9C in Peak District.

I'll be wearing a buff, possibly two!

Where's the car parking this year? The club website says it's 15 mins from registration. Mam Nick?

Great conditions, but the inability to breathe led to an early retirement for me. At least it gave me a chance to see most of the front runners come through Mam Nick.

Kit check - surely a race number is a mandatory item of kit, and failure to carry it leads to instant disqualification

Cocked up big style on this one - locked my keys and gear in my car 30 minutes before the start, so didn't even get to start the race Very annoying! Oh well I've only got myself to blame I suppose... 3 Peaks next month so at least I've got something else to look forward to.

great race again, well organised by DP ( especially on the weather and jelly babies front ) , plenty of friendly folk too...took an interestimg line off Brown Knoll which seemed quite quick to me but not some who followed and were a bit tired .....just thinking of trying to get encrusted blood out of white clothes..lol

Echoing the thanks to organisers and marshals, great atmosphere and great grub at the end! Very happy with the run today.
Marvin - gutted about that, I think I spoke to you (either that or someone else couldn't breathe early on!) but never mind, there's always next year
