Every time I do this race I say "never again" but I keep forgetting about parts of the course and convince myself the distances are a lot shorter and end up doing it again!

It was hard work today but I did manage a PB (however modest the old time was ) Great conditions for the race and thanks for the usual DP Edale Skyline polished organisation

Great race today first time for me it's not been snowing.
Hands up who tried to lead the group directly from Lords Seat to Edale, a quick whistle and wave got them back on track, good job it wasn't foggy.

Really fast conditions today might have broken 3 hours if I'd recced some more bits of it. How much faster does everyone think it was than usual - 10 mins? Thanks to all the helpers especially the "free jelly babies" stall in Hope!

Kit check - surely a race number is a mandatory item of kit, and failure to carry it leads to instant disqualification
Sorry to hear that mate, i was a bit surprised to see you not running part way round. Hope you're ok

A great day. Perfect conditions, & I took 22 mins off last year's time. And I came in to Hope just behind Yiannis - I only know this because someone addressed him at the CP. Too knackered to try to start a conversation, particularly once we started up Lose Hill, & I dropped him as I pushed hard up the hill & overtook quite a few people. I suspected I might see him again later though...

...& I was just leaving the top of Ringing Roger, with my tired legs making a slow job of getting down the rocks when a whirlwind fell down the hill, managing to stay on his feet as if he were walking along a pavement. OK that doesn't strictly make sense, but you know what I mean. I passed people on the descent, but he left me & everyone else on that last descent for dust. Respect.

Nice meeting you Splatcher and thanks for the kind comments. What I lose on the climbs I try to gain on the downs.
Thanks to the organisers and helpers of this great race.

Thanks for organising such fantastic weather for a fantastic race. I even caught a bit of the sun, and am going to have to get re-hydrated before I start on my rescue ale!
chuffed to get in (just) under the current woman's record and in the top 25.
Who else tried the down and up? I know Lloyd did, and I saw a rather knacked looking Carl Egdell clambering up RR as I came down (he reckons he lost 8mins).

U23 prizes next year? I'll be too old by then so you can't accuse me of nepotism!

Thanks to all the organisers, and well done yiannis, you went past me along the edge below grinds brook looking a whole lot more comfy than i felt!

Bottled the down and up this year, probably should have gone for it anyway but managed a pb by 2minutes despite being ill this morning and most of the last 2weeks.
