chuffed to get in (just) under the current woman's record and in the top 25.
Who else tried the down and up? I know Lloyd did, and I saw a rather knacked looking Carl Egdell clambering up RR as I came down (he reckons he lost 8mins).

U23 prizes next year? I'll be too old by then so you can't accuse me of nepotism!
You looked to be going well at Mam Nick

Nice piccies Mr Donkey! Good to see you today - definitely should do it next year - very enjoyable race; all the worries about the checkpoint turned out to be unfounded, as John (PFR) showed the younger generation how it's done and kept the spirits high together with Phil form Long eaton and we made it in plenty of time. The second half was a hard slog, but overall - excellent stuff. Many thanks to DP for the organization and all the marshaling, and to IDP for the rescue ale!!

I'd echo all positive comments about organisation and marshalls. I had worries about not hitting the cut-off, but in the end arrive with 20 minutes to spare and came away with a PB. Well it was my first time, so there's a target for next year.

Met IanDarkPeak at the kit check! Did a PB too, not too difficult since it was my first time round, but I also went quite a bit faster than anticipated, at least for the first half where I beat my recce time by over half an hour... Marshalls were great, and I was *very* pleasantly surprised (and grateful!) to be offered a drink at Brown Knoll.

Kit check - surely a race number is a mandatory item of kit, and failure to carry it leads to instant disqualification
Appaulling over site by some one wasn't it, might i suggest that you all get to kitcheck earlier so some of us aren't quite as rush as we were this year :w00t:
I see a Dark peak pertex nomination coming for this....

A few of us thought 10-15 minutes for a good to mid pack runner, I'm way off last years fitness but I think even I got a pb even if it was by a few seconds

Good to meet many new forumites including Nutkey and Dr Pat plus the multitude of known Forumite.

Nut key the 2 on BK were both forumites RhysFR(The young fit one) and Stevers The...not so young one!

Well done to Dark Peak, it was a big operation including a massive number from the club both before, during and after. I think Andy said we had over 50 marshalls out, plus those who cooked, directed traffic, kitchecked, cleaned up etc

It was my first race and I was well pleased with the time of 3:35 - sounds like the conditions helped!
