Winners? Anyone....anyone...
Lloyd for the men,
Judith for the ladies
team prizes went to Dark peak
Thanks to the organisers, especially the marshals at Mam Nick who let Clare sample the Jelly Babies to ensure they were fit for fell runner consumption
I have a load of photos taken at Mam Nick, which I will try and upload tomorrow. I managed to snap most of the first 100 or so runners.
Mrs STL was chuffed with her 4th place and 1st FV45, especially as it was the first time she had been over 20 miles in a run. I think she will be keen to have another go next year with some better route planning, so it looks like I will be riding shotgun again
2.36 Lloyd I think ie. Flipping rapid
Worth pointing out I feel that Oli Johnson was ahead of Lloyd at Grindslow Knoll, and won it on the straight down and up route, whilst Oli went round. So next year everyone'll be going down and up right??

That was me dogruf - nice to meet you. Thanks for rescuing that gel - I appreciated it later!
Sorry if this is tabooBut is it really 4500ft? Looks quite a bit less from the course profile....
According to those fancy watches that some people wear, it is 4324' if you drop down into Grindslow and climb back up to Ringing Roger towards the end and, 4061' if you stay up on the top path.
Rhys,
I recce'd the down up 3 times before this race but when it came to going down i didn't have it in me as i was way to tired and didn't think i'd be able to do the climb. When i did a full recce (easy pace) and down up the decent took 8 min and the climb 15. but i never checked out the time it took to go round so followed the masses. i think if you can descend that quicker (i'm not the fastest) then down up would be quicker.
