Re: Who's been lazy for a whil

Have slacked on my mileage this week
My legs are heavy and I'm feeling really tired and sapped of energy.
Should be doing 45 this week but I've only done 10mile on Tuesday, 8 mile on Thursday and am doing Blakey Blitz (10) tomorrow....should I run today to get my mileage up or save my legs a bit for tomorrow?

save yourself, if your body is telling you its tired, listen to it. the problem with the British mentality is that we dont see recovery as part of our training and its probably the most important part.
dont know where im going, dont know where ive been, all im doing is running, running to have fun.

I agree, you have been doing lots MG, you just needed a bit less this week... Next week will be better.

Glad I rested yesterday...I think I've been getting too wrapped up in the mileage when it's the hills that really count as demonstrated at Blakey Blitz today. Had quite a good run for me!

Been lazy for two weeks, although one of those still involved over 7000ft ascent. So I properly rested last week.

Back on it this week, and the bikes are back on the go too
