Having watched many of the brilliant Coen brothers films, I expected an Epic. A cast of good, bad and ugly characters and a once upon a time in the west storyline it should have been a great for it's genre. IT will remain unforgiven, with it's hamlinesque penultimate scene, it's poor soundtrack and not a swearinger word uttered throughout. I hereby re entitle it 'TRUE SHIT'.

Got Syriana, and the hangover lined up for tonight. Been wanting to see the hangover for a while. And Syriana's one of the wife's recommendations. Anyone seen it? Hope it's good, i think she's just thinking of films to watch to slow down my progress in watching the entire Steve Mcqueen back catalogue!
Syriana is very good. I watched another George Clooney film tonight "The American" . Also very good. There was a clip of 'Once upon a time in the West' on a video in a cafe he was in. When you get to the end of the film you realise the link

Another thumbs up for Syriana. George Clooney, other than the Oceans... vanity projects can't put s foot wrong in my eyes.
Watched Jarhead while off sick this week. Very good film. Highlights the monotony of war very well.
Le grand bleu. Besson's first film in english, and for me his best. Been a long time since i originally seen it, picked it up on blu-ray and it's still as special as I remember. If you're gonna watch it make sure you track down the original, and not the horrendous re-dubbed into french version.
