[QUOTE=BritNick; How did the Wensleydale Wander go for those who chose that option?[/QUOTE]
Very enjoyable, a bit short on cake but there were hotdogs on the Middleham gallops (and not yer usual "white van" business either but locally-sourced, hand rolled jobs - marvellous!). I particularly enjoyed going the wrong way at Cover Bridge as I found a lovely route to Jervaux Abbey which I walked the next day. There was a nice haul up onto Middleham Moor, excellent running surface (although maybe not enough mud for some folk) and lots of water stops given the heat. Usual LDWA hospitality and dry humour from the marshalls and had a nice chat with a couple from the Peak training for the Lakeland 50 on the way round (Hi if you read this). Great views across to Penhill and some enjoyable descents. I think the first man home made it in 2.58 for those interested in times.
