Three Peaks Fell Race

I'm bringing both a pair of Wave Harriers and Wave Riders and I'll decide on the day which to go for. The forecast is saying mid teens and sunny but it's too far out still for that to be anything like reliable.
It sounds like the going is pretty hard from the last couple of pages of comments and those Harriers have a sole like a piece of concrete so they're looking second best.

I'm looking forward to everything about this race with the exception of the 250-mile drive up from Windsor. And yes, it's been pretty hard to find hills to practice on down here!

The owner of the cafe at Wray was telling us that she encountered a naked rambler coming off Whernside last week. Not sure if there is anything in the rules re runnning naked as long as you carry your full kit.......................

Right, I think everybody should post their estimated times & see how close they get. I'm guessing 4.10 for myself. But would love sub 4.

Probably a big fat 0 for me, calf injury is getting better but just not quick enough:thunbdown:, thought I'd be ok but perhaps not?, can't even run up stairs at the moment so may be need to be a bit realistic. damn :thunbdown:
