Our team has had to drop out now, we would have had to either run two legs with only 1 runner (which obviously wouldn't count) or miss a leg which would wreck our results even if we all ran well. Bit of a disaster trying to get a team together so that's the end of that. Oh well

I'm a late draft on leg 6.
We are still in. Two teams, one mens team and a mixed team. Hopefully it wont change between this morning and tomorrow. Teams have changed since December but thats to be expected.
We are also still in with 4 teams. We had to drop just one. With it being on our doorstep I expect that it's easier for us. I can see the problems that clubs are having though with it being in busy race season now and lots of other good races to go at. I'll be around watching the fun tomorrow.... will seem strange not to have to wear 10 layers of clothes up at Wainstalls!!!!! have a god run everyone and enjoy the good racing conditions underfoot.

And yes, 8 layers at Wainstalls should be sufficient in May.

When Marc called to cancel I said I could get round leg one with you, but we still had no runners for leg five so we had to drop out. I think he was hanging on to find a pair. So many are doing Leeds half though. My legs were very still after the peaks but that's eased off a bit now. I even ran a steady five the other day. It's a shame but there's other races
What shoes are people wearing? I did a recce of leg 3 a few weeks ago and managed fine in road shoes with it being bone dry. I'm much more comfortable in my road shoes to the trail shoes when it's dry with them being so light going uphill, even if it rains on the day the ground should still be pretty firm and quick draining.
Worth taking a risk? I'll be taking both pairs of shoes, but can only take one set to the start of the leg as we wont have a car at the start.
