    Re: Old County Tops 2011

Due to an injury to my original partner I am now in the market for a new one. I know it's rather short notice but anyone who finds themselves in a similar situation and fancies partnering up please let me know. I went round in 10 hrs 20 mins (31st) in last years heat and would expect somewhere around the 10 hour mark (assuming reasonable visibility). Don't want to hold anybody back or vice versa. I have a few other feelers out but any offers gratefully received from any age, any sex, any time !!

I was planning to do the Dales Skyline next Saturday but could be interested in doing this with you instead. Not too familiar with the course so dont know if 10 hours is a brutal or an OK pace. Currently I am training for a Ramsey attempt in June, so something like this could be really good for me. PM me with further details and we can chat on the phone.

    Regards

    Simon

You should be fine with that kind of pace, Simon.

    Thanks Willy

I've just read the website and it sounds a great race. Hope I can get in. I'll PM BtG.

Four of us where coming up for the OCT from Shropshire unfortunately one of our runners has dropped out. I was wondering if anyone out there fancied a long run ?good BG training. Something around 10 to 11 hrs. As has been already mentioned this is one of the best races in the calendar!!

Quick question: Do both people in a team have to carry a map or will one do?

This is from the Achille Ratti website race rules:

"Competitors must carry full waterproof body cover, hat, gloves, map, compass, whistle and emergency food"

Clearly both members of the team must carry all specified items (the same as in all team events).
