    Nice one Stagger!

Nik, in a 10: make sure you ramp it up gradually for the first couple of miles, rather than go out too hard at the start and be in deficit from the moment go, then keep ramping it up as hard as you can to your maximum sustainable heart rate for the next 8 miles, giving every little bit left in the tabnk in the last mile. You legs and lungs should be screaming all the way and if you don't topple off your bike over the finish, you haven't worked hard enough

I'd do a track start as well: when they start counting you down (being held) 5 - 4 - 3 - 2: get out of the saddle - 1: lean back wards GO! Put the pedal you have facing forwards down as hard as you can and push getting on top of the gear out of the saddle as soon as you can. Then settle in ramping it up over 2 miles. Biggets mistake is to go for absolute max in the first mile, then you have lost your power to the lactate buildup...

Cheers for that Hann... it's a tricky course. Four laps with four sharp corners on every lap so lots of slowing down and sprinting back up to speed.. not flat either. Managed 24.40 a couple of weeks ago with a slipping seat post so hoping for faster tonight.

Did 23:52 so a marked improvement... need to work on some sprints to go much quicker as there are effectively 16 to do on the course.

14 miles tonight, the wind is making it feel like a hell of a lot more though. Got a nice 70 mile round trip I want to do this summer through the peak so need to get some miles in now wind or not.

Well done nikalas, sounds like a tough course.

First time ive had to take my bike in for repair today. My chorus ergolevers need refurbing. The one and only jeff the ergoman is tackling them on friday. Certainly not a job im considering. I will tackle owt else but not levers.
Nearly got tempted by a record groupset but then slapped myself and had a few words telling myself to calm down.

Not bad though, nearly five years out of those levers, god knows how many clicks.

Sounds like you need a devil on your shoulder Daz, I can play that role pretty well. Do it you know you want to, but you really want super record don't you Daz. You know you want it more than record, you know you want it.
