[Mossdog]

Well, having just stuck a scalpel in my finger (was testing the end to see if it was a new blade...doh!) and bled all over my prints, the plaster is making typing tricky so I'll post one of the tamer and shorter poems from the above collection:

Slowly, slowly
we grow together
skin across the wound
of our separateness.

Just had a few days over in the lakes and got very inspired at various times, I can see how it came so easy to the lake poets!!

Blencathra
The sentinel
Aloof and proud
Watching over those who pass
Pass through the gates
Through the gates to heaven.

Lazing, gazing
up under the lush skirt of Latrigg
No finer river could they be
No finer place than by
The River Greta be.

Or by the slopes
nestled in the lea
of Souther Fell
Pretty Mungrisedale
with its ancient mill
tales of reivers
and stories to tell

Like that one Rev, especially that first verse - caught my imagination particularly.

Ooops, not much activity on here lately! Can't have that. I found a book of erotic poetry in a charity shop and its proving to be excellent bedtime reading. Was a bit embarrassing buying it because the volunteer was new and couldn't work the till so it ended up with three people inspecting my purchase. Now then....should I wait until 9pm to post?

That would be the Erotic Impulse by D Steinburg I guess. Just read the 'look inside' sections on Amazon - phew!!!! Gonna get me a copy too I think:w00t:
