    Re: Today's Training

Decided to run over a mix of old and new territory. Started at Clough House below Shutlingsloe then went up and over Shutlingsloe itself. Headed over to Teggs nose via Forest Chapel then from Teggs to Walker Barn. The unfamiliar bit was from Walker barn down to Lamaload reservoir then up to Shining Tor from the back. I bumped into Lantern Rouge going the opposite way before reaching Shining Tor. Although I had seen the name on the forum I didn't think I knew him. Turns out Simon and I were on the same leg of George Bate and Gerry Dewhursts BG.

From Shining Tor it was Cat & Fiddle, Danebower than back to the car via Cumberland Clough. Back at Clough house I met Dave Walker who had just been out on a short quick round.

A nice route and similar to Macc Harriers Handicap race route, according to Simon. Measures up as 13.7 miles and 2950 ft according to memory map. 2hours 45 of running 10minutes of talking.

1:30 for an 11mile road run today for a change. Fancied a steady long run at a constant pace just to see how I felt and what sort of pace I can run at whilst still remaining in easy HR zone. Bit tired but otherwise ok

12.78m/1792ft up over Rishworth Moor, down Blackstone Edge and straight back up, boggy, very boggy, had to pull the dog out of one and wash her in a river.
Red hot, ran in just shorts.

8.5 miles 1200ft on Baildon & Bingley Moors this morning.

Had planned on doing more but was suffering with the heat/sun while heading from Dick Hudsons towards 12 Apostles despite having plenty of water with me. Treated myself to an ice cream when I finished - well it would've been rude not to given the van was parked right next to my car

    Re: Today's Training

55 mins over Hen cloud, the Roaches ridge then down off roach end to the stream in the woods. Turned around then back up to the trig. From the trig I run as fast as I can back to the gate on the edge of the meadow between the roaches and hen cloud. 2.16km of rock strewn pathways which requires a lot of variation in foot placement and change in direction. Was on target for a good time then turned my ankle below the upper climbing tier. Carried on albeit slightly less quickly and clocked 9mins 45s.

My ankle was okay at first but now not very happy.

That was my route yesterday Multi. I was up there around 8 a.m & sauntered over to Ilkley for a Costa coffee & a sociable read of the Sunday papers.
