on the subject of wildlife, and being too lazy to trawl through the 137 pages on this thread (for which I apologise)....can anyone recommend a good, comprehensive wildlife book which is just on stuff you find in Derbyshire/High Peak? Don't mind if it includes flora and fauna too, in fact that'd be a bonus.
Common lizard. Had a few sightings over the years but they are quick. Last one my daughter spotted a couple of weeks ago when we were between Shelf Moor trig and Hern Stones.
Got a book like that at home. I'll try and find it tonight.
What do lizards sound like?
Two quiet common lizards, a hare, two meadow pipit nests with 5 eggs in each and two foxes on the Howgills on Sunday.
