The men's record moved away from being based on the standard BGR some time ago, possibly before the current rules were established, but the women's record didn't (or wasn't even in existance at the time).
This raises a question - to unify the lists would mean that someone would have to create a record that doesn't merely increment the existing set of tops according to "the rules" but establishes a new course. Thus you'd have two records, one for the old round and one for the new. Of course there's nothing to say that all future attempts shouldn't be based on the new course but there'd be a definite hiatus and it's possible that another contender could come up with their own set of tops which would be equally valid.
