8am before the heat builds....its a Heptontsall scorcher...could meet at 07.55 Weavers Square or 8.10 at Blue Pig

    How does that sound?

I can now reveal the current leader in the fly posting campaign......

Spotted in Manchester - Esporta gym changing rooms, Salford Quays - excellent use of a captive audience Now Blue Peter have moved into their new studio next door who knows, we may get a few CBC celebs rolling up to The White Lion

1 week to go to print off your own and get your entries in (photogrpahic evidence)

Just been having a glance at the forecast for the week. It's (as in the BBC) given loads o' rain out for the Heptonstall area Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Could make it an interesting run at the weekend given the steepness of the ups and downs.

Lots of flyers given out at the Oakworth Haul on Saturday (but no exciting photos of them in public conveniences - and I didn't want to attract dodgy looks by taking a camera into the portaloo!)

Oh well it was too hot this weekend! Fell running always feels more real when the clag is down and the bogs are full....
See you at Stoodley Pike Tuesday????

That's the plan - I'll have my electric blue vest on :closed:. What's the midge count like round Heptonstall so far this week? I'm not sure my legs have got much space for many more bites! Does Jungle Formula work against bog mud???

Heptonstall is usually midge free - however you might want to run quickly past the Blue Pig - they don't call it Midge Hole for nothing
Think the midgies only come out at dusk so you no need to slap on the DDT

whats the latest on that Saturday am weather forecast?

The BBC is giving light rain for Saturday morning with good visibility - light relief after the torrential downpour it's suggesting for Friday.

    Perfect! Its too hot anyway

Were doing the flagging on Friday evening, plus putting up signs, finish funnel, and tents- would be great if anyone might be free to help - let us know if you can spare an hour or 2

    Pint afterwards?
