Definitely a stoat.
Had a lovely run along the river Ure and into the woods that surrounded Mashamshire. The hot sun bought out the butterflies and one particular one was the speckled wood, saw six together dancing lovely sight.
Sorry for the quality of the photos but its been great watching the swallows and housemartins feeding and I can't believe how big the swallows mouths are!

A deer in the woods below Tintwistle Knarr near Glossop. It was red so I'm taking a wild guess that it was a Red Deer, thought it was fox when I saw the first flash of it.
Just brilliant Wharfeego!!! :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
Fantastic swallow pictures Hes and Wharfee
Not quite as nice as swallows (or as nice to swallow) but, running the Burn Valley half marathon yesterday in the full heat of the day (a 1 pm start), I managed to collect a huge buzzing posse of flies hovering and crawling around my face, head and neck and they were pretty much with me all the way round. It was almost surreal in fact as all the runners I encountered had their very own cloud of flies. It did make overtaking or being overtaken a bit more fun though, as you hoped to offload a few onto a fellow runner!
Nice walk by the river this evening. 2 kingfisher, tawny owl and 2 young curlew were the highlights

Those photos are stunning. I know how they feel, swallow loads of flies this time of year. Yum.
