My top tip would be to make sure you have trained sufficiently before doing this race. Several weeks of inactivity in June left me short of miles in the tank and, sure enough, I ran out of energy just before the ascent of Great Gable. I had to walk from there to the top of Scafell Pike.
Am I complaining though? No. I still had a fantastic day out in some awesome mountain scenery and I got handed a drink by Joss Naylor. Great route and some slick organisation - well done all.
