just activate my entry with about 5 mins to spare

What sort of form are you in Antisocial ? Will I be seeing you walk past me on Simon Fell, and be reeled in on the hill of pain ? or will you show me a clean pair of sidis ?

I clicked the Commit button yesterday. Yikes! Hill reps with a shouldered bike anyone?

I was thinking of going for a run tonight, for the first time since the Fell relays last year... shoulder healing at last, but daran't carry the bike for my first run since October last year yet

very poor form i am afraid, fellsman knackered me along with home and work pressures so just looking to get round. Started regular fixie rides to work and back but it is only 7 miles each way.

ah, so a huge base fitness accrued for the fellsmen

and now you're aiming to put the top end

in by going for the two time trials a day on a massive fixed gear, no doubt on hilly terrain....the Obree school of training if I'm not mistaken....that'll be top form come the day then ?!?

    How's the training going folks?

I'm doing a mix of short hill reps (intensive run, bit of flat and steppy descent), longer road hill reps and general undulating runs. Missing out on long stuff at the mo, need to get a few of them in. And more rocks.

Ironically, my running suffered now I'm trying to get bike hills in.

never usuallt manage any training for it....unless pan flat time trials at full tilt on A roads count...the odd long fell race and ironman triathlon ...it's usually the first off road ride I do as a precursor to the winter cross league....makes it all the more special and challenging...

    Re: Three Peaks Cyclocross

I haven't exactly trained for it in the past, but... I have had a session on a MTB with a friend who is a proper coach, so honing my off road riding skills...

And just spent a few days in the Lakes and decided to see if I can actually run... not done that since the relays last year. Managed a jaunt up Robison and back down, going up the steep way, to see if my dodgy knee and ankle could handle Simon's Fell. wasn't carrying a bike, but pleased with the effort.

I then went MTB-ing at Whinlatter the next day and rode a Fred Whitton challenge the day after that. 7 hours on the bike :w00t: never ridden for that long before in my life, nor climbed that much... all to train for 3 peaks!!!

Tomorrow will see me take the crosser onto Hatterall Ridge to see what work needs doing to it, as last time I used it I caught the right isde of the handlebars on a gate post and it got somewhat mangled oooops I may even shoulder it and carry it for a steep bit, just to see if my separated shoulder will be able to handle it or if I need to learn how to get on and off on the right and shoulder on the left side :w00t:
