17m yesterday, first half on the beach, 2nd half on rolling trails and footpaths. Last 3 miles spent running around farmers' fields looking for the next footpath waymarker!

17m yesterday, too. Over the Clwydians. Took me ages but it's the most I've done since injury and only a little stiff today.

did about 8 miles yesterday trying to keep up with my nephew on his bike around some trails near mansfield. think it was part of sherwood forest. was running really well and progress is still being made:thumbup:. tonight i was in the gym, i did 3.5 miles in 24mins on tread mill then rowed 2000m in 7min 30 then did some spinning. the sweat was pouring off me.

Good news, all set for next Sunday then...have to say I was more than a little stiff this morning. Bike ride tonight so have loosened up now.

I don't want to know about your early morning endeavours! All set for next Sunday very slowly - see you tomorrow - I'll be one of the Marshalls

I only wish my early mornings weren't defined by the kids jumping onto our bed at 06:40 with cries of "my light is on!".....

I shall award you marks out of ten for your marshalling. Consideration will be given to visibility, shouts of encouragement and an enthusiastic disposition. Points will be deducted for saying anything like "it's all downhill from here".

    Re: Today's Training

Fast hard race last night, the first in the winter series- 6.31 miles with 750ft climb in 42.34
Good to see Green flash out again, Straggler was there plus one or two others..

this morning early run was to be a recovery run of sorts, just to keep the mileage up and stretch those legs....

but what a beautiful morning, I just kept going and going- so er recovery run 15.2 miles 550ft(yes a flat run) in 1.58
