Aaargh, that really didn't do it justice!
Ok, a bit of Ramones, Patti Smith, some moments, but significant over here, not really. Sex Pistols at the start, but it was more than just them, they were just the catalyst for the better stuff that came after. And that sheer diversity just didn't come across. And did it all really end with PIL going off into the sunset, nah, Johnny, you really weren't that good, 3 anthems end of story. The Clash took it on, The Jam and the Stranglers were in the mix as well and no mention of them........ho hum gonna have a beer to calm down!

I agree Toffer, I thought it was a bit of a let down too, probably my fault for expecting too much.

The Richard Hell footage was new to me, but everything else same old same old.

    ARGGGHHHH!

...anybody know if I could use the law of provocation as defense...?

...cos of where my house is (nicely hidden behind a massive mill building) the only way I can get tele is via a satellite. Single feed...single tele. My 12 year old step daughter is watching some utter rubbish (*******) called "Grease is the word" on ITV which doesn't finish till 9:25

...and Mrs Stick's run away to study upstairs with a supportive..."well it is the final..."

...come on JJ, get Chris to give me some legal advice here

    Well thats a first.
I know its only my sad opinion but the programme was fantastic tonight.
It's not often I look forward to a tv prog this much and then it delevers.
Great footage of early Iron Maiden with Paul DI'anno and early Metallica with Cliff Burton. Great start with Balck Sabbath. The only bit I didn't like was the Motley Crue section but its wasn't too long.

Not bad at all. Good stuff on Purple and Sabbath. Made sure my son was watching to get the Smoke on the Water story straight! Mind you can't take that American glam metal stuff very seriously, Motley Crue, yuk!
