No mention.. not even in the race report in the club Newsletter.. There's even a club report on the 3 peaks yacht race... which mentions every runner apart from me.. who was part of the winning running team... I love Eryri.. I really do.. What a great club to run for.. They have your back...

    CRAZY PEOPLE!!!! :-(
To win the race and not get a mention in the newsletter that reaches every club member to read about their runners achievements is not good!!
Your a credit to the club and an inspiration to anyone that thinks of giving the sport a go let alone the amazing ultra race syou do.

Do you want a link to the Meirionnydd membership form??? open arms waiting for you here buddy ;-) :-)

    What a club..

I would leave, join another or form another club but feel I'm more of a pain remaining in the club. Tall poppy syndrome, they can't touch me running wise, they don't have the spine to speak to me personally so just have a go while scoffing club bought cake...

I do like the fact I was reprimanded in the club newsletter for speaking publicly before addressing any issues privately, yet after publication received an email which was weak at best.

But 'its not personal'.. good to know... I could have been confused that such attacks were just personal grievances...

But in 50 years time my name will be forever linked with the winners rostrum of one of the toughest races in the UK and that annoys them, hence the minutes wasted at committee meetings and emails going around.. Brilliant!

Iain, in fifty years time you will be too busy being carried to the toilet by the nurses to worry about the Peris! How about some club champs races in the lakes or Arrochar!:angry:

I'd always imagined that Eryri were a decent club and I reckon I'm not the only one, so they've well and truly shot themselves in the foot with this one. I'm kind of glad I'm not a member of a club if that means I'm not allowed to express my opinions without consulting them first - ridiculous!

I'm banking on 2050..allowed back in Eryri...2055 take over the Peris.. Then I'm going to extend the route to be the full Peris, all the way to Moel Eilio...a proper horseshoe...

Aye well the club champs should be the British Champs...However I think Jura is in next year..followed by 1 Highland Games races...Helmsdale...

They are a great club. That's why I won't leave voluntarily. 95% of those in the club, 99% of the regular runners are great. That's why people like the club because those that you meet are the OK ones...it is a very friendly club in most ways just has a history of this.. it'll pass.. I'm telling anyone not to leave the club over this as I think the club has a good future.

The support I've had from club members has been first class. A club is its runners.

Please join Notts AC that would then make 3 fell runners in the club and we might be someway towards getting a fell team together for the relays!!
