Ouch Hann - hope they're better soon!
Rollers with no hands? That is asking for trouble, as I am bent over to the left, because of the ribs...
I am going to try bride the track on wednesday, nice and smoothI was ok on the MTB Saturday, I didn't push very hard... but it has hurt a bit afterwards, I suppose the adrenaline kept the pain at bay!
I usually send the odd e mail or text when on my rollers. No hands is fairly easy to master. You can get a fair bit of work done
I can do no hands, but need to be able to sit upright, which I doubt I can at the moment... but can always try or use the turbo in stead![]()
My issue is, in order to retain some fitness for cross, I'd need to dfo hard efforts, and that is the porblem... I was able to do my 8 hours pairs MTB race Saturday, no worries... It was only a problem as soon as I put in some effort! My right leg would cease up and my ribs would stop me from breathing well enough...
nice steady recovery ride today out to Box Hill and back, 75km @ 25.5kph av. Kept the heart rate low throughout, just spinning the pedals.
Headbangers' chaingang tomorrow night - gulp ...
2 miles on the S/S MTB, caught in the most torrential downpour i have ever seen in the UK. Spat the dummy and thrashed it home. Absolutely soaked. Bah!
Zoot enjoy the chaingang tomorrow my friend.Could have done with some help tonight. It forcast gusts of 40 mph so must have been 60 mph on the tops. I just battled through serious gales on crich top, wirksworth top and alport heights. Managed about 47 miles in awful weather. No one else out. Good training mind. Last time i was out in wind like that i had a little helper convincing me it was a good idea. The wind was so strong tonight it was wrenching the bars from your hands.
