Well done ratfink. Ive been on there a few times. Gets mega busy in summer doesnt it.Did a 8 mile run tonight then stripped my rourke and re built it. Polished it and gave it the full service. Did 45 mins on the rollers after re setting the indexing. Was going to have it re sprayed this time around. Its got a few chips on the underside of the downtube and bottom bracket which is to be expected aftervall those thousands of miles.Maybe next year a re spray and super record.

just need to work on the rest of the forum now

I'm also a bit perplexed about the 'lobbing of bikes in the hedge' appraoch for the winter duathlon - can we not engineer some sort of temporary bike rack guarded by an angry looking bowlander for the transition?!
Em, that Bowlander would be looking very angry; if he spent the evening guarding bikes instead of tearing up the trails on Beacon Fell!!
Just had a great afternoon on the 'cross bikes with John G, who you were talking to on Tuesday evening. From his house at Forton via various bridleways and BOAT's to Beacon Fell, a lap of the offroad perimeter tracks, tea & cake at the visitor centre cafe then home via other bridleways. A bit of "bike & hike" in places but a good 4 hours on a cracking afternoon!!

Cheers daz. Never been on it before, pretty quiet yesterday even though half term - quieter than Monsal trail recently anyway.

    Re: Todays Bike Ride

I have put on a few kilo's... not been riding now for almost a month, apart from my MTB enduro and a weekly hour on the outdoor track to test the waters... i.e. once a week

But going out on the MTB in a moment, for an hour and half of playing on the hill, seeing how well the ribs are now... then we have a weekend off racing next weekend, but a friend is coming for some MTB fun, so two big rides planned

    Then back to racing! YAY!

Must get onto that turbo this week, get some strength back into those legs...

Its a tough time of year from now on for training.Ive started upping my rollerwork. Done about 4 hrs this week and prob another hr tomorrow. Good luck with the turbo hann but it aint for me. I prefer rollers and spin. Badger keeps dragging me out for lots of runs as well.Good luck with your ribs, i know ive been there. Can you not join a local spinning group.

    Re: Todays Bike Ride

First time out on the MTB since Lakes weekend a month ago - heavy work travel schedule. 1 hr 45 of classic West Sussex singletrack and NO punctures despite county wide hedge trimming going down. Nice and muddy, found some new technical downhill stuff, killed a rat (yep, first time ever I've ridden over one and splatted it dead) and got home smiling.Family day today ...
