I clocked 59:15 2 years ago, so sub-60 already in the bag!
hoping for sub-57 this year
sub-56 would be super-cool (sub-8min/mile)
however, 21 miles out yesterday recceing Grindleford Gallop route is probably not the best preparation

Scramble the rock face through the glare of morning sun — to run
Doh!!!!!!!! Missed it again, even if by less than a minute.
Maybe the trip to the Lakes took too much out of my calves... they certainly were smarting going up and down.
Of course, the lad made a fool of me... by about ten minutes.
See what the proper results show... might have PB'd.
Couldn't hang on to you Daz!
Thats a fun race. Lots of up then lots of down. My first road race for about 4 years.
I did it in about 53mins. Will be back next year with a sub 50mins.... I hope
Always nice to have a cat with you Daz. What time did yiou get this year?
good to chat with lantern and Truck - this race has an extra-friendly feeling to it, as you get runners of all backgrounds turning out
I finished in 58:23, but it took me 48secs to get from where the old finish was across the dam to the new finish, so I would've clocked 57:35 in old money!
think I paced myself better all round, apart from going off rather too fast (7:15 first mile! :w00t: )

Did it in about 58.30. About a minute slower than last year despite this year running all the climb and getting a sobre night in before! It's a great race though as others have said for the friendly crowd. Thinks it's been said before but feels like a fell race on the road. Top marks all round.
Well run Daz.
Yep, its a very nice event. I'll be back next year for sure.
