Thank you to the RO and all the marshalls and additional supporters yesterday, it was my first Tour and my first AL race, how kind was the weather?! I had a fantastic time; all offers of water, jelly babies and Mars Bars were perfectly placed. Great pic of Kieron posted earlier, thank you Kieron and all. I am now proud to call myself a Tourist and can't wait for next year!![]()

Martin and Amex - well done. Brilliant the pair of you
Poacher turned game-keeper
Yes. Really good to see Amex(s) running in those lovely purple numbers.
and great pictures Ady. Love the swanky site .
Absolutely gutted to miss this years FTOP, although given the warm weather I'd probably have struggled; my best races have always been in the rain and the cold!
Some cracking pics. It's noticeable how many of you had hydration packs on, I wonder how many made that decision at the last minute?
I and several others were over at a track in Halifax, on a coaching course. Still, we managed to do some hill reps up and down the grass banking, must have been at least 30' of climb each time
On the erosion/flagging issue; I think that we can safely leave any decisions on that topic up to Kieran, he's got huge experience organising this race and I'm confident that he'll do what's best without us stirring the pot for him.
Here's looking forward to FTOP 2012, and many more after that; we've all got a tankard with our name on it somewhere![]()
Looks like I missed quite a day out... went to the Lakes on Monday instead and did Leg 1 again.
Big pat on the back for Amex... quite some recovery!
We should rename Steve Foster the "Lemming"... looks like he's about to jump off a cliff! That's a shot to keep...
See you in a couple of weeks![]()
