I fancy including a spot of yoga into my regime and was wondering if anyone would like to share their favourite poses on here?
If anyone has any postures, which they think compliment fell running, that would be amazing!

Not being too proud to admit to using yoga here goes here's my preferred workout.
5 sun salutation As and 5 Bs. Follow this by the primary series gives a excellent stretching and core building session.
As for favourite postures, being a BG aspirant here goes..
start with a MOUNTAIN or two, use a COMPASS and when finished you'll feel like a CORPSE
Like the Pigeon myself.... great for ITB and Piriformis
Here here for Pigeon. Best done on rug in front of fire watching TV although the wife gets a bit distracted!
Warrior is good for stretching ankle and foot especially after injury.
Hey Dan, the MOUNTAIN etc was a joke by the way. Sorry.
I like the warrior poses and sun salutations are brilliant. I have been very slack with regards to my yoga lately but am looking forward to getting back into it again this winter. I particularly rate kundalini yoga as its pretty active and really helped me loosen up my back.

The pigeon looks interesting...
when you think of all the time you spend with the blood having to pump its way up from your legs
the pooling of blood that can occur and varicose veins etc
the headstand has got to be one of the best recovery poses
totally reverses the normal gravity affect usually placed upon the body
I like to feel all the toxins and cells getting a good shake up...very revitalising, calming and restorative
I swear by "dog with head down" to stretch my lower back and hamstrings.
Here's me demonstrating how, looking surprisingly feminine, next to our large pool earlier this evening.

I'm normally a lot more like a humpback bridge and less like an A frame.
As a fell running astangi I do agree (as nominated by others) that pigeon and its variations is a good everyday warm-up, plus all manner of inversions are good after lots of time on your feet. Midway through a solo run (often at a trig) I'll stop to do 5 mins sequence of inversions including headstand variations (my favourite). Basically though any hip-opening / hamstring stretching stuff is good.
