Your almost correct in that statement Steve........"I was finished when I crossed the line" Don't know about wobbly legged Steve, my bloody head was wobbly!

Loved it though, it's an absolute cracker of an event! Could even be my favourite event?

Great race, well organised and nice to see many friends en route.Nice touch with keiron addressing us in the bunch before the off. I liked that.Highlight of the race for me was being able to don my cycling cap at judiths cairn. A very very special moment. Felt very humbled as i passed by.Very well done to martin ( not yet met you but i was told of your story mate) excellent effort. Pretty special. Also a big well done to my friend mr taylor. Steve you have defied the odds and returned to fellracing. That means a lot to myself and many of the good friends on here.Your journey probably like martins cannot have been easy. To you both id just like to say i have huge respect. Amazing

Er, point of order... The steep descent into Ogden Clough has been known as "Ski Sunday" ever since Tony Quinn coined that name for it way back in about 1987 after a particularly snowy Tour.

"Jeronimo" or "Geronimo" are modern abberations, brought to the race by wet-behind-the-ears offcomers who don't know any better....

Thank you so very very much indeedy...
ooo-er how do i change my name on here??

Having read about Martin on this thread I was amazed he ran this very hard race, in a good time, so soon after his surgery. Well done indeed. What is the story behind steve and his come back?
