5.6mi w/ Clayton tonight up & round Pendle. Got battered by gales, hail & sleet on the top, lost me leg in a bog...man I've missed it!Had to dip out of final climb up cart track as h'torch battries on the blink.
I come across so many badgers and foxes when running in the dark. I have nearly run into sheep a couple of times as they can be frozen in position by the light. My kids are mad jealous of me getting to see so much wild life. Well they know what they have to do....
Lovely 'torcher tonight from White Lion and back in our trad c/w direction. c5ml / 700ft? millipede was running very well. A day off mid-week obviously suits her :closed:

I missed last night's Keighley AC run from the WHite Lion due to the inconvenience of having to spend the afternoon in Bradford, so I went on my own (well, with the hound for company) tonight. Same location, round Kildwick moor a bit then down and back along the canal. First headtorcher for ages, spoilt only by my having a new headtorch all wrapped up for crimbo, and still having to use my old and not very bright one!
Fantastic race from Settle tonight..... and I won the bottle of wine for predicting my time the closest. Local knowledge eh?![]()
11 Bowland Bats had a total BogFest on Longridge Fell & Spire Hill, last night. The only firm bits were the truck roads in the forest and they were flowing water like the Ribble. The fast boys managed 7 miles / 1h30m, whilst the steady group settled for 5 miles / 1h15m.
