Not quite a movie, but watched all of Alex Guiness' Tinker Tailor... this weekend. Absolutely fantastic drama. Heading home early now to make a start on Smiley's People.

Not quite a movie either, but someone bought me the new John Cleese DVD for my birthday. It's a sort of cross between a stand up show and a biographical review. Very good though. Especially the bit where he says how much his divorce is costing him, broken down by day etc...

"It's a good job she didn't contribute anything to the marriage... Such as a conversation..."

Extremely techie and I kept up with it till about 75% of the way through the film but started to get a bit confused at that point. However at the end I had a pretty good idea of what had happened even if I couldn't follow the timeline exactly. There is a good Wiki on it though and excellent directors commentary as well on the DVD if you really want to get into hiper-nerd mode .

Source Code Jake Gyllenhaal of Donnie Darko fame gets back into time travel with a film that is a sort of a cross between the films Groundhog Day and Deja Vu. Much easier to follow than Primer and has the high production values you would expect on a bigger budget film. All the time travel bits had been covered before though.

Both excellent films but Primer offered something a little different in the time travel genre.

Just watched Source Code, especially since Groundhog Day is one of my favourite films and I also like the time travel films, really enjoyed it and well worth a watch:thumbup: good choice Alf.

Alf - you imply Donnie Darko is kids' stuff - could you explain it to me please, as I couldn't make head nor tail of it

Those two series were truly brilliant. Sans pareil.

Watched Tree of Life last night. Barmy.
