Yep, found him. They do a good deal - fork, headset, spacers and stem all in a kit. I've got all the tools to do a headset and fork - always crap at cutting the steerer.

Yeah well they cut the steerer for me and left plenty of stack height with a good few spacers. I trimmed mine down half an inch after. He has all the tools. The lot.Its only a small place but they know there stuff.Good luck
Oh and he will fit the star nut as well with his star nut tool.
Even i aint got a star nut fitting tool.

    yeah you're right
running it is obviously better exercise than cycling it though (which is only ten minutes and too many lights and junctions to get any speed up or test the engine)
six miles' running a day burns through a few calories if nowt else ...
    how far you got steve?

The headset press fits all sizes... The problem with UJ was before I had the headset press and crown race setter. I need something to keep me occupied over christmas??

My crown race setter is a piece of tube from work.
You rarely use the things mind. Thats the problem with bike tools.
Yeah do it yourself Dom, def a job for over christmas.
Sometimes when you have re built it back together you will apply the front brake and get that little movement like what Hann had all those bike rides ago.
Put a spacer just under the cap. ( I never have the cap directly onto my stem). That should do it.
If it still persists a little trick is to loosen the stem, stand over the top tube, press down on the bars and move them left to right, keep on the pressure as you ctr them and then re tighten.
    It just works.

One thing that people sometimes get wrong is when they have purchased the headset. Ensure before you rip open the packaging and take it to pieces is to remember which order the washers etc go back together. Saves wasting 4 hrs finding which order they go back.
    have fun
