Alistair, can you give us a brief route description for Yarlside please? There's nothing on the HHR site, cheers.

We might be in the area when one or two of these are run. Is this a local league or can members of clubs elsewhere enter any of the races. are they EOD?

    a) Walk to the top of Yarlside.

    b) Race back down!

It finishes near the bridge at the start / finish point on the Cautley race. Yarlside is the hill right above you. It'll be a time trial format and the registration and start times will be on the HHR website nearer the time.

Not very testing! The cheek of it. You aren't trying hard enough! ;-)

For those who don't know, all the races are about 30 mins long for the winners and up to an hour for the rest of us. They range from a number of flat cross country races to steep races like Barbon, Cautley or Fairmile.

They are all well flagged so navigation isn't an issue

    Everyone's welcome.

Cheers Ali. Which of the two routes on the attatchment is closest to the actual course? Down the scree towards the beck, or over to Ben End? I'll have a recce sometime.

Well you say that, but I managed to get lost on the Scout Scar race one time, despite the many flags. Very embarrassing.

    Hi there,
I'm not sure what the organiser is planning. It might be interesting just to let people choose their own route. The route up will be flagged, probably up the ridge, the route to the right on your map.
