A very muddy KCAC run out last night, with a bit of everything. My first club run for ages, so thanx to those who kept slowing up and waiting!
Todharriers do Batruns most Wednesday's thru the winter. All welcome whether members of Tod or not. We often have runners from other clubs attending.
The pub we run from changes each month - you can get details from http://www.todharriers.co.uk/news.htm
Last night was our annual Jingle Run. Sixty Six Singing Santas ran round Tod comprising runners from Tod Harriers, Calder Valley, Rossendale, Achille Ratti, Darwen Dashers and Pennine (and probably more besides - difficult to recognise who was who in a Santa suit!)
You can see us at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whjDN...ature=youtu.be Donations from participants for Help the Heroes totalled £200.
Thanks to all who came for breaking the Todmorden "World" Santa record !
not sure what the shoppers in Morrisons made of you lot
Mercia fell runners go out in the Shropshire hills in church Stretton every Tuesday night. Between 8-20 turn up. Even had night race some weeks ago. I have been told off as i haven't turned up for one yet!
Enjoyed it, a nice change to get on the hills through the week when I normally wouldn't get the chance. I liked Mike's universal soldier style head torch I really need to find one a bit more functional for me, thinking of resorting to taking a hand held torch though as it seemed to work much better once I took it off my head! Quite a few very deep bogs present, and I nearly lost a leg in a very narrow yet deep cleft on the way up. When's the next one?
