How does meeting at 8am at Dunmail on the 27th sound? Early, I know, but we'll have a fighting chance of being close to finishing in the dark that way at least. I'm happy to drive to Keswick... though of course I'll need a lift back at the end! Equally, I'm happy to leave my car at Dunmail and drive someone else back to Keswick afterwards. I wondered about leaving a car at Threlkeld too... for the authentic BG experience of some scran and what not. What do you reckon? If conditions are particularly bad we can improvise something shorter on the day I reckon.

This sounds like a cracking day out (especially the food and what not afterwards) and I'd really like to commit, however I'm carrying an injury at the moment and I want it to heal. Legs 1 and 2 on the same day probably won't help, so I may have to stay at home and pine. Sorry, I had the day off and everything :-(

Pity I'm in Harrogate that w/e! I'd really like to meet a few more of you guys, having only met Hank! I'm starting to struggle a bit getting out! February will be a bit of a black hole due to my forthcoming nuptuals!! Also I think i need to just regain a little bit of hill fitness and stamina on my own! Next time I'm out for a proper BG recce I'll post and hopefully some of you will be able to join me! Preferably slow people!!

I havnt done any of the route and am looking at getting some time on the route and would be happy to put some slow legs in fjell guy , or any one else looking for a steady day out , trying to shift this xmas indulgance and get motivated after a cold so up for a plod :-)
