Long hill reps with club last night, about 6.5 miles in total. Hard after the weekends exertions!

Cold, wet, boggy, windy and misty run on Rombalds moor, just over 9 miles. Got lost in the mist whilst off piste at one point, luckily my Garmin Forerunner saved the day and I could retrace my route.

4.4 miles with the dog this morning, mainly towpath. His second run (4 months old) & he seems fine with this sort of distance, still frisking around till we got home again. Not enough for me though: headtorch run on Helsby & Frodsham hills coming up this evening.

45 mins on Turbo Trainer, steady effort. Had intended to follow it with a session in the pool but I wussed out.

Stay positive Martyn, you felt tired and rested instead, not wussed out:wink:

    Re: Today's Training

I did 14 m over Skiddaw and felt tired setting off. I've been doing a fair bit of leg work in the gym at work, tho not much running. I did ok but not as much as I'd wanted. Made me think about getting a few more 'wussy' rests! Better getting the hilly runs in now, rather than knackering myself elsewhere. Yoga or wee jog on the treadmill today I think, rest tomorrow...or yoga! Rest for longish flat run Saturday. Then rest fot couple of back-to-back hilly efforts Wed/Thurs. 'Wussy' rests are important so I get the best out of my hilly runs!!
