    Re: Todays Bike Ride

Just an hours commute today, well, only half an hour done so far, still in work till 7 pm, then half an hours ride back... Hoping to feel less shattered tomorrow morning at 6 am when the alarm goes off, so I can fit in a couple of hours on the bike before commute and work... But so far, after Tuesdays great ride, I have simply been too tired. It is surprising how tiring it is to stand around all day... especially wearing heels. My legs hurt on the return journey!

    today's ride - even windier than yesterday's (fortunately less rainy!) 34km 530m (21mi 1750ft)

Hann what do you do for work - working weekends and wearing heels??

    Re: Todays Bike Ride

Saturday: what was meant to be a 40-mile club ride, got out into Kent, stopped to help a backmarker with puncture, between us realised we didn't know where we were, navigated by the sun back into London ('well, if that's south...'), and unwittingly clocked up 65 miles.
Sunday: tried to go out with the fast club ride, legs had nothing in them, got dropped after an hour, still ended up doing 40 very windy miles, mostly solo.

    Feel totally done in today.

I've sort of hung up my fellrunning shoes but there's no reason why I can't still do shorts I suppose and I did enjoy it last year.
My mum enjoyed the trip out oo.

Ratfink, I run an arts centre and sculpture park. It is a foundation without funding, so in order to keep things ticking over we have to sell art as well... so we go to art fairs and hold selling exhibitions in London...

Hmmmm... yeah, in theory, it is... But the lack of funding is rather nerve wrecking! However, just had an encourageing meeting with a funding expert from hereford council and he seems to tyhink he can help us get some money, so fingers crossed

Never quite understood the rollers thing - is there any resistance at all?
