    Re: Wadsworth Trog

If you're still thinking about this race, get your entries in! Only a week to get your entry in the post! ABSOLUTELY NO entries on the day!

I've just been having a look at the entries to date. There's a few teams who have two entrants - it would be nice to see a third and see some competition for team prizes. There's also plenty of scope for some more female entries - it's worth a good fight to get the heavy slate trophy for this category! Helen Fines isn't running the Trog this year, so she'll not be getting her hands on the trophy this time round. Who thinks they have space for it in their trophy cabinet?

Nidd Valley need one more woman to enter to make a team and give the Todmorden women some competition in the women’s team category. Or any other clubs fancy putting in a women's team? It would be great to see some more competition in this category. Maybe 2 more from Dark Peak to make a team with Nicky Spinks?

East Cheshire Harriers, Holmfirth Harriers, Macclesfield, and Middleton Harriers each need one more man to enter to compete for the men’s team prize.

Northumberland, Ilkley and Bingley each need one more male vet to enter to compete for the vet men’s team prize.

So go forth and round up your team mates, and I'll see your entries on my doormat next week...

I'm posting mine Monday - will get the Heptonstall mass-ive to get theirs in too.

Excellent dining at The Hebden today - hope you can reserve me a table in the Jelly Baby club house for my post-Trog sarnies and cake.

Last chance to get your entry in the post on Saturday. Make sure you use the right sized first class stamp on your envelope. Yes, I've had to pay to collect an entry from the Post Office No, don't take that as an opportunity to 'forget' to put the right postage on

I'm a bit tied up the next couple of days, and won't have much internet access, so don't be surprised if I don't respond straight away to any queries.

I well enjoyed this last year, but not at all confident my dodgy ankle will stand the tussocks this year, so going to have to miss out - bugger!

Just seen the list and I'm in, great stuff. Just need to sort my mapping out now.

Did a recce yesterday - tough going underfoot with added snow on top of the bogs...

Will be a testing day out in a few weeks.

Have you got lost on the way? Or did you take a detour? 6 hours from Heptonstall to Mytholmroyd...at that pace you're not going to make the cut off on the Trog you know.
