I've been in touch with a local by text. Going to be OK, Fleeter. Bit of sleet is all. Reckon it might be a bit chilly, though.

i guess the race will go on regardless.. but does anyone have any ideas on what the road conditions are like?

road conditions were good....it was the race conditions that worried me...first race I've ever done with a death slide in the middle...LOL. There should be some good pics of that when they come out..Dunno about at the sharp end, but bringing up the rear the downhill trods were desperatly slippy not helped by the previous bum sliders I suspect..Very very happy to finish. Amazing how fast a group can vanish whenyou strat to struggle got to the top of the last hill and no-one in sight..oops...map?? luckily went on a bit and spotted some one further down so map not required..

Enroute I picked up set of Innov-8 mistlite pants (in pouch). If anyone has realised that they have mislaid a pair I handed them in at the end.
