In a word don't! The ground is frozen and rutted to hell. I'd go up into the Dales and walk / run for a couple of hours instead

Awright, you made my mind up for me. Helen is still going to do it, so I might come along with rucksack, flask, seriously warm top layers and observe from key points on the course. I wonder what time the Cow and Calf opens .....?

    Re: Today's Training

Not even a walk today. My cough returned with a vengance last night and chest is still very tight. Looks like an absolute belter of a day... pure blue sky and -7 outside at the moment. Not for me though! Just re-read the 'Pluerisy' thread on here and, as massively frustrating as it is, if I'm to have any hope of a big week next week I reckon rest is the only option. Woe is me...

Easy 5 miles with lots of heather bashing, glorious sunny weather. Great day to be on the hill!

    7.5km then 8km of 200,400 and 800s yesterday.
    10km today as tired.
All on tarmac or track  but it's the weekend tomorrow  so I can get back on the rough stuff!

Caught last hour of daylight as sun was setting. Over Little Roseberry and Captain Cook's Monument. Gentle plod of about 6 miles. A joy to be out after such a long injury lay off. Looking forward to 5 hours of mountain biking and running at Warcop on Sunday.

Sounds much nicer than my trots around Billingham and Stockton. Looking forward to the days drawing out so I can get out a couple of times in the week.

8 steady miles this evening - went out at 9pm. Really clear night (with the added bonus that the cold seems to keep the youth of Bury at home rather than lurking in the parks and bus shelters offering 'encouragement' to me as I run.)
