First fell run in ages for me. 12 miles / 4000ft, from Scales, up Blencathra (over Blease Fell) then onto Bannerdale Crags, down into Mungrisedale then back over the col between Blencathra and Souther Fell to Scales. Lots of fresh powdery snow (especially on Bannerdale Crags) made it bloody hard work! Great to be running in the hills again though. Saw another group of runners on the summit of Blencathra.

I took the lazy option and did 12 miles from home over Scout Scar and Cunswick fell. Brilliant sunshine South lakes but a bit cloud on the eastern fells so made the right choice.

Not a lot today, just a few steady trail miles.

Planning 3 or 4 climbs of Kinder Scout tomorrow, weather permitting. Anyone know how it is underfoot up there today ?

You must be near me as that's my run out from the house! Hoping to take a trot up there tomorrow subject to my chest feeling ok. For well over a week I've had a cold that's turned in to right bugger on my chest. Itching to get out for a run!

11 miles, just over 1,000 ft of up, but had to do 12 reps to achieve this; snow underfoot, but it had been smoothed out by a truck. If only I lived somewhere hillier!

10 miles over Baildon, Ilkley & Burley moors on my "Rombalds Stride" legs. Which felt surprisingly good & begs the question, did I push myself hard enough on Saturday ? Stunning conditions for running. Cold, sunny, very gentle breeze, bit snowy, bit slushy.......fantastic !

Started my run tonight and after 1k my left calf went very tight, had to walk home, will try the turbo trainer for the next week or so.

First run today for 11 days. Felt good, if a little more wheezy than I'd like. Hoping it's turfed the lurgy out for good now. Subject to no problems from today's short one I'm hoping to stick in a big day on Thursday.

Took the new Wave Harriers out for a gentle test and ended up doing 2500 ft of hill repeats.

    last weeks total
including the 2 runs over the weekend

47 miles and 6000ft, a bit dissapointed with the climbing but it would have been more if Mickledon wasn't cancelled.

Monday night race 6.35 miles 1020ft climb
supposed to be an easy trail 10 miler this morning, 10 mile trail it was, easy it was not. still lots of snow and ice out there so had a mixed run of rutted ice or deep crusty snow, still it's all good for the legs...
