5.5 miles through woods, Shipley Glen, back through woods. Was a bit like driving through fog with the snow and rain but very enjoyable nonetheless. Especially as it was my first run back in three weeks due to an injury

A very spooky, sloppy and claggy trot over Hobson Moor on my own. Still a bit of snow about.

Short run through Hardcastle Crags and over Heptonstall Moor. Very icy, and fog so thick I nearly ran into a parked car coming back into Heptonstall.

Tuesday, gang of runners and walkers (ex runners) started from Queen Cath, Osmotherley, over to oakdale reservoirs, square corner, back of chequers, cod beck, sheep wash, up to radio masts, lady chapel then back to queen cath, cracking night, full moon, solid ground, freezing cold, and then a pint of Wainrights, it doesn't get any better.

Last night a group of Bowland Bats managed 7 or 8 miles from Stoops Bridge in Abbeystead via Higher Lee and the shooting tracks ( gravel was frozen solid but not icey ) to the west trig on the Ward's Stone plateau. A fair sprinkling of snow and a tad claggy when higher up. On the open moor, any protruding rocks were covered in a thick coating of verglass but were avoidable; Kahtoolas stayed in the 'sac!

Short hour on the local hill, thick fog, first run of the year when I left in daylight. Well, gloom, murk maybe

Around 15 Bowland Bats out tonight around "The Tolkein Trail" from Hurst Green. 7 very muddy, slippery miles of heavy going along the W bank of the Hodder and the N bank of the Ribble. A select band of 7 then retired to the Trishna curry house in Whalley to consume "The Fires of Mordor"!
