Okay I'll be the first to admit that "friends" on facebook covers a very wide range indeed but every now and then the contrast throws out something exceptional. One of my "friends" recently posted a garmin link running 25.25 miles with 1,500 feet of climb in an unbelievable 2.5 hours and, in the next breath, another friend posted his 2.09 mile walk logged onto daily mile.com. Both getting out there though. I'm probably somewhere in the middle!
Well I don't post my running exploits on Facebook Stolly so you won't see my 2 miles per week on there! I am loving the trips you and Hes are logging though. The photos are excellent and the commentary exceptional...I hardly need to get out there myself. Keep up the good work!
Sometimes i accidentally post my bike rides as runs. That usually gets a reaction.
My runkeeper posts my run & bike routes. It's helped motivate my friends when their having a cba day
Well some times I post them on FB but not always...
More in keeping with the thread title though, I keep getting friend requests from people who I have never heard of, however, they seem to have about 15-20 of my friends as friends so we must move in similar circles, some I've since worked out are forumites, so if you do send me a request and I havent answered it may be I haven't worked out who you are so next time please add a note....
I thought I'd done really well in January with my running mileage (something like 190 miles) and along comes a certain Mr Jones on facebook casually mentioning that he'd done 454 miles, or something equally bonkers!! Is that inspirational or demoralising
99% of my f/b friends (there are only 60 odd) are runners by the way, some known and others friends of friends, but I find it a really great community with pretty much everyone being ultra outdoorsy and friendly.

Just deactivated my facebook account as Roger Ebert was giving me some old links? and there was a huge queue of dodgy looking characters wanting to be my mutual friend
