    Report
The Fairmile race is one of the most popular races in the Kendal Winter League series.....a classic circuit in the Howgills. The runners were greeted with near perfect conditions with the ground hard under foot and a covering of snow on the seniors ascent just to make it a bit more interesting! The race had been in doubt the day before as the tops were covered in hard compacted ice but a slight thaw overnight had softened the ground sufficiently to allow the full senior course to be run. Another good field in a year of record turnouts with 77 seniors and almost 100 juniors competing in the 6th race of the series.

Is it petrol or diesel? Solid and unwelded?

I think that there are a number of mistakes of names v numbers. eg 427 Paul Wilson, 428 David Wilson, 429 Thomas Wilson are the people who actually ran but aren't named correctly in the results.

Mike Robinson was certainly in top 10 (I think he turned 6th at top), ladies results should be 1st Mel Hyder and 2nd Sharon Taylor - hope this helps with sorting them out
