Very reluctantly, I have decided that I am not getting enough training done to warrant doing this race this year. Since subs are now allowed, does anyone want my place? Apparently you have to complete the substitutions form, and there is a separate fee - neither of which I could find....

I would like my £7 entry fee back, and you will need to pay the subs fee. If that's unreasonable, I'm sure someone here will let me know
I can even lend you my race map, so long as you post it back to me!

I would like my £7 entry fee back, minus half of the substitutions fee. If that's unreasonable, I'm sure someone here will let me know

the subs forms will be at dpfr.org.uk/pages/3 by the end of the week, as will info about the spaces reserved for 'category prize challengers'

@nutkey I think it is reasonable to expect the person who takes your place to pay the subs fee!

Last time I ran the race in 2005 that was the route, as The NT banned us from Brown Knoll, and it was 70 + degrees all the way round. Ran the whole race in just shorts & shoes. Happy days.

Am going to run around the whole route tomorrow with a mate. We'll have a look see at the up and down bit at the end too, which i've already committed to doing during the race, despite being a mid packer who is likely to be a very lonely bunny for that section! Hoping for good conditions.

Wish I'd seen this earlier Mark, We were going to do a big section of it today but we put it off until tomorrow. I'll be out for a steady run today in the woods, It'll be a bit wild today looking at the forcast. Have fun

I took a look at the down up on the weekend. Actaully ran it in reverse. i certainly think it looks a goer! I'll be doing it race day.

I think the down and up should be banned, after all it is the Edale Skyline race, changing the route after Lose Hill is a step in the right direction.

We got as far as Lords Seat/Rushup Edge and binned it - it was wild, windy and very very wet. Ah well, best laid plans and all that...
