I got round to doing this today (Mon 27/02/12) and the stats were:
Shiny Beast - Pudsey & Bramley
WL Start 10:05 Old Town Mill 10:32 (27m) Gibson Mill 10:56 (51m) Staups Mill 11:37 (1h 32m) Stoodley Pike 12:11 (2h 06m) Tk Jctn 12:31 (2h 26m)
Park Cottages 12:39 (2h 34m) WL Finish 12:46 (2h 41m)

Overall impressions were that its a really nice run. Conditions were good with it soft underfoot but not too sapping through the various bogs/fields you encounter and the forecast rain never got beyond a refreshing drizzle. Very useful to recce it, as I had done previously, although I still ended up missing the trod on Erringden Moor which was pretty silly as I know that bit pretty well from various races etc but it prob only cost me a few minutes. I really enjoyed some of the descents through the woods at Pecket Clough and down to Staups Mill. Hardest bits I found were the various uphill drags in open fields i.e at the start to Hill Head Farm and on those diagonal paths to Blackshaw Head. The tailwind I had up Stoodley Pike and off t'other side were really handy.

Definitely a really good outing - cheers for providing the route etc MM
