    Re: Tonight's headtorcher

A tempo run head torcher with DT (out in daylight, back in the dark) along the Wharfe to the Friends Meeting House has lifted my spirits tonight. Negative splits are not within my reach at the moment but I now have a target to aim for; 4 minutes to take off a 37 minute run with a negative split thrown in....hum....could this be achieved by the end of March?

Lately work has been getting in the way of running but this is going to stop....grrr! Tomorrow will see us back at the White Lion

Around 18 Bowlanders met at the Langden Intakes for "The Trough Skyline" ... up the UU track past the Intake buildings then N up the open fell to Top o' Blaze Moss, down to the summit of the Trough of Bowland road, Whinns Brow trig, top of the Ouster Rake path, PBW down to Trough Barn, public highway through Sykes to Langden Intakes. Not quite 5 miles but very wet, peaty & tussocky ... Bowland just as it should be.

Presumably it was too difficult to pick up after a moment of passion? Drives me nuts and I'm sorry, I'm not going to pick THAT up without one of those litter-picking thingys.
Presumably from Primark and easily discarded? I certainly can't afford to leave any garments in my wake. How about the socks you see discarded, what's going on there? Last time I went to Spurn Point I collected about 4 bin liners of rubbish.

I was supposed to go and do a little race thing last night but somehow I drove right past the pub where everyone was meeting without seeing it (I'm blaming oncoming headlights and a car up my 'arris) so I ended up doing some not-very-hilly training instead, all on my own.
    Still, t'was better than nowt!

Had a short walk last night to test out the new search torches issued to the MR team

    Lensor X21R
of course you wouldn't run with it but for you gear freaks.....1600 lumins, I could pick out sheep, trees etc nearly a kilometer away on the other side of the valley.

Obviously an essential piece of MRT kit ... a big jump from the de-rigeur Petzl Zoom of 20 years ago ... but Ian, you've got to draw the line somewhere!:w00t:
